Fate

Come with me for a little walk
We'll look, we'll see, and then we'll talk;

I'll take you to the river's edge
I'll make my case, I'll make my pledge;

And when I take you to the sights
You will begin to see the light;

Then should we rest upon a rock
Our eyes will meet, our hearts will lock;

And then in time, in a little while
We'll walk again for another mile;

As night makes way for the silvery moon
I'll kiss your face, I'll make you swoon;

Then up ahead you'll see a sign
That's where we'll drink a little wine;

It's here I'll smile, and with a wink
I'll win you then, or so I think;

But should you stop and hesitate
And disagree that this is fate;

I'll throw my hat into the wind
And think upon what could have been
