How can I find the words to say

To tell you how I feel today

To speak of you in my own way

This debt I owe I cannot pay;

How can I find the words to show

A depth of love, you'll never know

And though the days they come and go

My love for you forever grows;

My heart remembers days gone past

When you gave to me, and you took last

Although a child my eyes did see

The sacrifice you made for me;

Your hands betrayed a soul, so giving

You hid your pain, to go on living

But my eyes they saw, and had misgivings

For sorrow caused in the beginning;

Now when I think upon your face

I see an angel in your place

Unspoken joy, a love, a grace

I never thanked you in my haste;

And life it goes so very fast

You look around and it has passed

What can I do, what can I say

To prove my love, so you will stay;

Now times I look up to the sky

I see a light, I see your eyes

But when I think upon the moon

My heart it knows, it was too soon;

And now I fall with heavy heart

And days so gray, a darkness hard

My soul with you will never part
